Stage 2 of the TC Motorsports Project GT500 is a 3-inch Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system

The second stage of the TC Motorsports project GT500 is a 3-inch Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust System (part #16674). The stock exhaust system has a rather mild exhaust note which is great for long cruising, but performance enthusiasts (probably a large majority of GT500 owners) will want the sound coming out of the tailpipes to match the power of what is underneath the hood. Magnaflow’s 3-inch cat-back system does just that, offering a more aggressive exhaust sound while freeing up extra power – Magnaflow’s web site claims a gain of just over sixteen horsepower at the wheels. The system also improves the appearance of the GT500, with polished stainless steel construction and 4-inch tips. Installation is very similar, taking less than an hour and requiring basic hand tools.

The stock exhaust system works just fine, but like everything else could use some improvement	Like opening presents on Christmas day…	Removing the stock system is as simple as unbolting the clamps holding the stock system in place
