Let me begin by saying that EMT^2 Racing is not some big fancy racing outfit. Frankenstein (formally knowns as the N20Jnky) is sponsored by a supportive wife, hundreds of hours per year with a wrench in my hand, and a lot of nights alone in a hotel on business travel. The name EMT2 Racing represents the first name initials of myself, my oldest son, my wife and my youngest son. We all race - I drag race the Frank, my sons road race their R/C cars, and my wife is currently working on a 1970 Maverick Grabber.
It is amazing what a few mods will get you -- basically a lot less money and a couple of trophes if you are lucky. I show Frank in a couple of shows each year, however there was a big lull between 2004 and 2008. Some of the awards I have won include:
I know that there are a lot of Mustangs out there that will put the Frank to shame, but I do not suppose they started with an owner that knew little if anything about cars.

205/65/15 Front "Skinnies"

Not totally "skinny" but I have this hangup about the front and rear rubber matching. These are the slimmist I could match. Plus, for a daily driver you don't want to go too skinny or the push would be unmanageable.

28" Tall Drag Radials

AWESOME!!! 1.6 sixty foot times. The taller tire perfectly fills my wheel well, and provides me with a little more gear for the bottom end of the track when the car is running 110+!!

I highly recommend the Series 40 catback if you want a nice grumble without a lot of resonance at highway speed. This thing also sounds pretty nice when doing a bottle run at the track!

Have not gotten to the track yet, but this stall make a HUGE difference in the launching ability of the N20Jnky. I'm expecting something around 1.7 sixy foot times N/A and 1.4 to 1.5 on the dope!

4-Cylinder Front Springs

A lot of people buy the Eibach drag springs. I have found that I get excellent weight transfer with stock springs in the rear and the 4 cylinder springs up front.

Gears are a great mod. Seeing how I am running the 28" tall tires, I actually wish I had gone with even more gear in the rear!

Draglite Wheels 15x8 w/4.5 BS
|
|
5/9/2003
|
|
These are used for the drag radials. I had to "massage" the inner fender a bit to get the wheels to fit properly and use a 1/4" wheel spacer. With 26" tall tires this would not be an issue. I have also removed the quad shocks.

These are used for the street tires. Not a single fitting problem with the 9" wide wheels and 28" tall tires. Guess the 8" wide wheels make the tires bulge just a wee bit more.
